East Grinstead Town Football Club's Veterans Team was formed during the summer of 2005.

The inaugral 2005/06 season saw the team compete in the Mid-Sussex League Veterans Cup Competition and was managed by Head Groundsman Peter Cadman, a former EGTFC Chairman, who had previously managed other senior sides within the club. The season started well and they won 3 of their first 5 matches losing once only. Unfortunately, the last three matches were all defeats and they finished the season in sixth position in Group B.

Following Peter Cadman's move away from the area, another former chairman and first team manager, Phil Cowlard, took over as manager in the 2006 /07 season. In their six league games they won three and lost three, finishing in fifth place in Group B.

Seventeen clubs have entered the Mid-Sussex League Fred Pretty Veterans Cup Competition this season. Teams are divided into 3 groups. EGTFC are in Group B which has 6 teams. Teams play each other once only. The top three teams in two divisions and two teams from the other division will be involved in the quarter finals on March 30th with the semi-finals to be played on the 13th April and the final on Sunday 27th April.
